We are holding another screening of The Guerrilla is a Poet on the 56th anniversary of the founding of the New People’s Army, the 29th of March from 6pm. The film is part-documentary, part-biopic, and follows Jose Maria Sison and Julieta de Lima through the Communist Party of the Philippines’ First Great Rectification Movement, the founding of the NPA, and the initial days of the Protracted People’s War against the US-backed Marcos dictatorship.
