Opening hours information
We are open as usual today. We will be closed on Friday 6th December and Sunday 8th December this week, and all of next week. Keep an eye on the website for any further changes!
What’s happening?
We will be working on reduced opening hours throughout December as our head librarian will be on trial in Leicester Crown Court for shutting down Israeli arms company Elbit’s UK subsidiary UAV Tactical Systems. Along with another actionist, she is charged with conspiracy to commit criminal damage and affray, for closing the factory the morning after the zionist entity’s horrendous bombing of Al-Ahli hospital on October 17th last year.
We stand with her and all who take action to stop genocide. We know who the real criminals are. We invite you to support their case if you’re able, to support the library if you can (as preparing and closing for trial has interfered with our ability to work towards fundraising), and most importantly to take whatever action you can to resist ongoing genocide and those who profit from it.
Free Palestine, solidarity forever.
Trial information
If you want to observe the trial as it continues, you can go to Leicester Crown Court and sit in the public gallery. The trial is currently scheduled to run every week day from now until the 12th December, from 10:30am until about 4pm each day.
If you attend court it is important to follow all the rules such as not recording anything, and sitting quietly while proceedings take place. You will be searched on the way into court, so make sure you understand the rules on what you can take into the court building. If you arrive at about 10am, you will see other people who are there to observe the trial who can help you find the right court room – look out for a small group of people wearing keffiyehs.
