Students and activists from across Manchester began an encampment yesterday occupying Brunswick Park. Their demands for University of Manchester:

• End partnership with BAE Systems
• End ties with Tel Aviv University and Hebrew University of Jerusalem
• End unethical research
• No disciplinary action against students involved in protests, occupations or encampments

Please get down to the camp and find out how you can join in or offer support. The PRIDE Library has lent the camp a box of our books on Palestine, the Zionist entity, and the university struggle – so if you spend a lot of time at the camp you should have plenty on-hand to read!

There are cultural events, workshops, and communal meals planned in advance for the next week, so there’s plenty of ways to participate. One of our directors, Robin, will be running a Self Defense workshop at 4pm tomorrow, Friday 3rd May.
